Clarice Miller asked Deon Leftenant that question in 2005. That question started it all! We all have ideas and dreams. We took these ideas and dreams and turned them into the vision of Deshalamar.

Deshalamar Enterprises Inc., was founded in 2006. It all began with a patent on a product and grew into - Deshalamar CDC 501(c)3 in 2009 which is Sponsored by:

Deon Leftenant is an honorably discharged American Vet (82nd Airborne). Clarice Miller is a survivor of domestic violence, and her family has been affected by Huntington's disease.

"We came together to form our non profit organization to help make a difference for others who share these experiences. The reason for our existence is to give back to the community."

Deshalamar's Mission Statement : I am my brothers keeper, we will never leave a fallen comrade behind. Not on the battle field of some foreign land, or on the battle field of life. We will reach one ! We will teach one ! Deshalamar is commissioned by God, to help any man and or any woman, to reach their full potential in Christ. Thereby reaching their full potential in life. Deshalamar is the good Samaritan. Deshalamar is the caring American!

Deshalamar Community Development Corp 501 c 3 is dedicated to its mission in supporting American Veterans in need , Domestic Violence Survivors and families affected by Huntington’s disease. When the pandemic hit we realized we needed to try to help the whole community as everyone has been affected in some way. Since the beginning of the pandemic we have been blessed to have been distributing Free PPE including respirators (13 of which were sent to the Island of Jamaica) filters, disinfectant spray, hand sanitizer, masks face shields and other Items across Long Island and throughout different states.

In Feb 2022 we were blessed to be able to expand this program to include brand new Sketchers sneakers and all different clothing items. We have distributed across Long Island to different nonprofits, soup kitchen, churches, outreach programs.

We are thankful for the opportunity to tell you about this amazing project “ No Reason -Just Because “ we have an event April 23 2022 at the North Amityville Youth Organization 12 - 4pm where we will be giving brand new sketchers sneakers and clothing items free to the community . Barbers will be available to give the young men an boys free haircuts and the young ladies and little girls can get free manicures
